We are all up on the latest tech in the Carnfield Offices, and the main star of the show recently has been Android 4.1.1 aka Jellybean.
Android Jellybean is a supposedly small upgrade from ICS – however we feel performance wise it’s a rather big leap. The Carnfield staff has been running Android 4.1.1 Jellybean ever since the ROM was cooked on the XDA forums, and we have to say we absolutely love it, it has a few little flaws but it’s a perfect daily driver.
We really don’t understand why HTC hasn’t released the ICS drivers to the community since they will run on Jellybean perfectly fine (perhaps may need a little tweak). It seems it was HTC’s intention all along to just string along Desire HD customers.
We’re all waiting now for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 before we upgrade to a different phone – it certainly won’t be another HTC Device though.
Anyway, if you’re stuck on your Desire HD we recommend giving Jellytime a try (at your own risk):4.1.1, Android, Desire HD, HTC, Jellybean, Jellytime
